The Praher S4 2-way ball valves are made from CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) material, which is known for its excellent chemical resistance and high-temperature capabilities. The S4 CPVC series comes with two sealing material options. EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) or FPM (Fluorocarbon Rubber): FPM, also known as Viton, offering superior resistance to heat and chemicals. The ball Seat is made from PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as Teflon, which is well-known for its low friction and excellent chemical resistance.
The S4 series of 2-way ball valves are available in 7 different sizes, starting from DN10 up to DN50. The Praher valves offer two standard connector types, Solvent Socket ASTM and BSP threaded Sockets. Optional end connection available upon request are; Solvent Socket/spigots in DIN & Fixed flanges in DIN-ANSI-JIS. The valves are rated for an operating pressure of PN16, (approximately 232 psi).
Special Features of the S4 series include easy Installation and removal offering ease of maintenance, double-sided blocked ball ensuring complete shut-off and preventing any leakage. The ball is precisely machined to provide a tight and reliable sealing mechanism. The full section area of flow allows for the entire nominal bore to be available for fluid flow, minimizing pressure drop and maximizing flow capacity. The floating ball is designed to float, which helps maintain consistent sealing under varying pressures.
These features make the S4 series of 2-way ball valves suitable for various industrial applications where chemical resistance, high-temperature capabilities, and reliable shut-off are required. Additionally, the different connector options provide flexibility in installation, and the range of sizes allows for a wide range of flow rates.
